July 2026 Trails Talk

THANK YOU FOR MAKING
BIKES~BREWS~BITES A GREAT SUCCESS

Attendees and trail fundraiserThe Dickinson County Trails Board extends its sincere gratitude to everyone who helped make this year’s Bikes~Brews~Bites fundraiser such a memorable success. From our attendees and sponsors to the many businesses and individuals who donated items, your generosity continues to make a lasting impact on trails and recreational opportunities throughout the Iowa Great Lakes.

The overwhelming support from our community created an evening filled with great food, fellowship, and excitement, all while raising funds to expand and improve our trail system. A special thank you goes to the many local businesses that donated gift cards, merchandise, experiences, and services for our popular Mystery Raffle Bags. Your generous in-kind donations helped make one of the evening’s favorite attractions possible while encouraging guests to support our mission in a fun and meaningful way.

Thanks to your continued generosity, the Dickinson County Trails Board and Hope Rolls have raised nearly $60,000 through the Bikes~Brews~Bites fundraiser to support trail development and provide adaptive bicycles that create recreational opportunities for people of all abilities throughout the Iowa Great Lakes. Your partnership helps ensure our trails remain welcoming, accessible, and enjoyable for families, friends, and visitors for years to come.

Hope Rolls Partnership Continues to Change Lives

DCTB representatives Erin Reed and Yvonne Taylor present a check to Maria Mellman and Shanna Clabaugh of Hope Rolls.

Hope Rolls, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, provides adaptive tricycles to children who are unable to ride traditional bicycles, giving them the opportunity to ride alongside family and friends. The smiles these bicycles create are a powerful reminder that every child, regardless of ability, deserves the freedom and joy of riding a bike.

We are incredibly grateful for the support of our sponsors, donors, volunteers, and everyone who attended Bikes~Brews~Bites. Your commitment to our community is helping expand opportunities for healthy recreation, strengthen connections throughout the Iowa Great Lakes, and ensure that people of all abilities can experience the benefits of our growing trail system.

On behalf of the Dickinson County Trails Board and Hope Rolls, thank you for believing in our mission and for making a meaningful difference in the lives of so many. We look forward to continuing this partnership and building an even brighter future for trails and inclusive recreation in the Iowa Great Lakes.
