The Iowa Great Lakes Trail winds its way through the Iowa Great Lakes region, which offers plenty of outdoor opportunities for visitors. The multi-use Iowa Great Lakes Trail provides local citizens and visitors a safe place to bike, walk, rollerblade, run and cross-country ski.

2021 PROJECT UPDATE The 2021 trail construction season is well under way with four projects currently in development. Highway 71 Trail: Paving of this extension from Nature Center Road going north to 34th Street in Spirit Lake is nearly complete.
